Thought I'd share a photo of a cool exercise to try at the gym, if you're up for it. This is from the ILCA Asian Facebook page.
It's basically standing on an upside-down bosu ball for balance, then pulling a weight up. Work on both balance and weight strength at the same time.
Of course, usually one should be tapering the morning of a regatta, not working out. But aside from that, this could be interesting to try if one feels they can do it safely. (Check your doctor/PT if you have any doubts.) The "up to shoulder" movement is aggressive; might be good to first try pulling to chest.
