Hi,
We are using InspectIT to check method execution time for various methods in application. What I have noticed is that, at times, all method executions are not counted. I can see lot of logs with error messages like
"2018-09-10 00:25:36,969: 199519338 [ruptor-thread-0] WARN  va.stats.AgentStatisticsLogger - Monitoring data is dropped due to buffer capacity reached or connection failure. Current count of dropped data is 1050002.
"
We do not have any connection drop, (confirmed via Wireshark dump). So, I suspect Buffer Overflow. We have made buffer size for agent fairly large and its not helping either. How can I further debug root cause?

regards
Vijay

Hi Vijay,

You are collecting too many data. Try to decrease the instrumentation size.

Also, check if the connection is really available, does CMR has the agent still as connected?

Cheers,
Ivan

Thank you. This helped a bit. Now I have switched to inspectit-ocelot framework and its way better in terms of capabilities.
