Packet Tracing b/w eth0 interface & application (dhclient)

Hi Anil,

Dhclient process is not getting ip,

* Sending DHCP Discover

* Receiving DHCP offer from Server (confirmed through tcpdump at eth0 interface)

But Dhclient application is not able to recognize/getting the offer received stating that "No Dhcp Offer Received" after discover retries & timeout...

Would like to get know about what happened to the Offer Packet reached at eth0, basically need to debug "between eth0 & application" . Please suggest some pointers on this.

You may use ethtool to check if the driver received the packet, and if yes, what happened in there.

Check also Used dhcp port and ip filter setting.
