Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share how they record completed coursework from a  technical college for an AAS degree or technical certificate in Infinite Campus?
Example program: Fire Science
A student completed two 3 credit courses (Hydraulics and Building Construction) as it relates to Fire Science.

I much appreciate any insights you can provide.

Thank you,
Marc

What we have done in the past if it is from any kind of university just add it directly to the Transcript like below.

Also, I know if we are trying to track 9 or more credit hours for student Grad Year 2028+ that might not be the best way.

Thanks,

Thank you Todd.

What are your thoughts for graduates in 2028 and beyond?

My thoughts:

Option 1 -  Make a generic “COLLEGE 3 HRS” course.  Set this field on the course.  Use the grades comments to put in the details of what course and what school it was taken from.

Option 2 – Also add it under the Assessments so it could be pulled into an Academic plan.

I create courses as if they were like all of our normal courses.  Then put the grade in for that course when we get the grade at the end.  I have stressed to our staff who use infinite campus to not be manually entering things into the transcript area unless it is a student coming in from another district and we need those credits added to our system.

Good morning,
KCKPS does like Leslie describes. We have a course code for the class and it will have two grading tasks on it next year. One grading task does the 'high school credit' and one will do the college credit.  If there is not a gradebook for a score to go into then the course does not report on KCAN. So we do not want people to just put it on the transcript unless its a transfer. If it's earned with us it needs to go through a gradebook..

We have courses in place that indicate where the students are going. For the technical college here the students are guaranteed to be gone for half the school day so we have an AM and a PM course for those. Then for the regular college we just have a single period course that we will put the students in.

They put the scores in the course.
