Swapping scheduled Periods order at semester???

All,

I’ve had a request from one of my High Schools counselors, if we can swap period order at semester. HS principal and teachers would like to swap 8^th hour (currently last period) and Guided Studies/MTSS period (currently shorter, second to last period), moving the guided studies/MTSS to last period of the day.

 

I’m thinking I could just change the times and sort order of the period (at completion of 1^st semester over Christmas break and we’d be good???? Could it really be that easy? I was originally thinking something much more complicated, but I’m thinking now that it really could be just as easy and changing times and sequence in the Periods screen!

 

The length of time will be the same, so any attendance data/etc shouldn’t be affected. Any scheduled courses would still be tied to the same period (periods would just be at different times)

 

Anyone see any trouble with this/thoughts???

Hi Jared, 

You have to make new "days' in your period schedules. So if you have an Odd & an Even now, you will have a New Odd & a New Even.  If you don't do that, then it will make it retroactive and look like you've done it all year the new way.

After you make the new Period Schedules you can make any order you want - then copy the sections from the old day to the new one.
