Subject: IPREP Episode 2 Invitation: Strengthening Forest Stewardship through Micro Hydro Power Plants

Dear partners and friends,

We are glad to announce that the wait towards the second episode of our Indigenous Peoples Renewable Energy Pathfinders Webinar Series is over. And this time, we go deeper—into how Indigenous governance shapes renewable energy from the ground up.

The upcoming session of the Indigenous Peoples Renewable Energy Pathfinders (IPREP) will feature the experience of Aliansi Masyarakat Adat Nusantara (AMAN) Sintang Local Chapter in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, collaborating with the Keling Kumang Credit Union and the Dayak Seberuang Indigenous Peoples, this session will explore how their Indigenous governance strengthens forest stewardship through micro hydro power plants.

📅 April 29, 2026 | 8PM GMT+8 | Virtual Session - http://shorturl.at/dxv5h

Rather than approaching energy as a purely technical intervention, the discussion will highlight how community leadership, local financing mechanisms, and Indigenous institutions come together to shape sustainable and accountable energy systems.

Participants will gain practical insights into:

  • Indigenous governance in energy decision-making
  • Community-based financing models
  • Lessons from on-the-ground implementation

This session is part of IPREP’s ongoing effort to strengthen a global network advancing Indigenous-led renewable energy. If you missed episode one, you may revisit it through our YouTube page here

With kind regards,

Elie Chansa,
Communications Officer,
Right Energy Partnership with Indigenous Peoples
