APFSD13 – Indigenous Peoples MG (Pacific) participation + next steps

Kia ora Robie and dear IPMG regional colleagues,
Mālō e lelei/ Talofa/ Bula/ Kaselehlie – thank you for circulating the call.
As the Pacific representative to the Indigenous Peoples Major Group, I intend to respond to the APFSD13 Call for Participation and seek a place to engage under the SDG innovation track and link our inputs to the HLPF. I will prioritize perspectives from Pacific Indigenous communities—centering customary knowledge, climate resilience, and community-led innovation that advances SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11 and 17.
I’ll proceed with the application before the 10 November 2025 (Thailand time) deadline and will keep everyone updated on the outcome and any speaking/coordination opportunities. If accepted, I’ll also coordinate with our subregional colleagues to align messages and ensure strong Pacific visibility across sessions and side events.
Quick checks/requests:
  • If IPMG is submitting a consolidated list, please let me know if there’s a preferred nomination/endorsement note I should attach.
  • Are there IPMG or APRCEM alignment calls planned prior to APFSD13? I’m happy to help co-draft Pacific inputs.
  • If there are any Indigenous-led side events in development, please loop me in for co-organizing or speaking roles.
Appreciate your support. I’ll share updates as soon as I hear back.
