Very doubtful suggestion : leaves have some  resemblance to Cananga.

Hi Alka,

do you have any close ups of the leaves?
I see what look like cashew trees around and also coconut leaves. Is this tree wild or was it planted?

regards
Radha

Hello Radha ji

I think this tree was growing wild. It was captured in a fort in South Goa (Cabo de Rama) and was growing on the slope reaching out to the sea.

I do not have any further pics.
The leaves seem to have a gland on the reverse side.

Unfortunately, I also cannot upload any cropped pics as I have lost the software to crop pics. Will try to post the closeup in another 4-5 days.

Thanks and regards
Alka Khare

Please find attached a cropped image of the leaves.

Hoping, this would help to ID.

Thanks, Alka,

Looking at the glands below the leaves it seems to be Terminalia paniculata Roth

There are glands at the leaf base which is the characteristic feature of Terminalia species.
