Plant from Vietnam FOR ID

Dear friends,

Please help with ID of the plant in attached pics. This request comes from one of my flickr friend. Other than the fact that the plant is found growing on hill slope in Vietnam, he has not provided any other details. A lead to genus ID would also be sufficient for him to dig into his resources.

There is not a single sp. having distribution in

Vietnam according to POWO. Any resemblance to new sp. discovered in China ?
