Thank you Mayur ji for the ID.

How would one distinguish between C. paleata and C. forskalii?

Description for the flower in  http://keralaplants.in/keralaplantsdetails.aspx?id=Commelina_paleata does not match with posted flower .

Hi, Rakesh ji,
This has been identified by Mayur Nandikar, who is the expert in India on this genus.
To me also appears close to images at Commelina paleata

Thanks Garg ji for validating.

Are there any morphological features which can help us identify this? Commelinas are very confusing.

Thanks and regards

I too wd like to know the characteristics ...... as to how to differentiate it in field from very similar looking Commelina forskaolii . Only difference I can see is hairs on spathe very less , negligible .
