Hymenodictyon obovatum Wall. - fruiting at Yeoor

Saw  this wonderful tree fruiting and  young leaves in last week of June '10. at the Yeoor side of the national park in Mumbai. The distinguishing feature being the obovate-oblong stipules with glandular margins.

I think this is better. Indian plant of which description is being
referred from Indian treatise. Flora of British India is lying for
free on the net. That may also be used.....much better than referring
to Pakistan or China.....
And yeah please, my comment is not due to political issues of India
with them, its just not appropriate botanically!!!

From the fruiting images, to me these appears to be of Hymenodictyon orixense
