Santhan Ji, I have no authority to question or validate your ID, but how do you differentiate it with Barringtonia racemosa (L.) Spreng.?

Thank you

Both are entirely different with respect to leaf shape, venation, inflorescence, petals and fruit. Barringtonia sarcostachys (Blume) Miq. seems not an indigenous species.

Thank you very much Santhan Ji. I thought your pics look like those of B. racemosa pics in toptropicals and in natureloveyou.sg. But I must be wrong while comparing the photographs.

However, KEW has type herbarium of B. sarcostachys where petiole is much longer than your pics. There are two forma too -

Is it similar to B. racemosa ? I have seen one specimen in Howrah Bot. Garden and a few in Andaman (Mt. Harriet entrance).
