Dear Saroj ji,

Seeking help regarding Nepali name of Medicago sativa L.
Wikipedia has given the name the name लुसर्न घाँस in Nepali, based on the world popular name lucerne for Medicago sativa L.
My attempt at transcribing  लुसर्न घाँस to English ... lusarna ghaansa, I hope is alright.

Regards.
Dinesh

There is no Nepali name as such. They might have directly translated for lucerne  !

Thank you.

Yes, thank you, Saroj ji.
The name is transcribed from the foreign name - lucerne, globally popular name for the "queen of forages" - Medicago sativa L.

Regards.
Dinesh
