Primula Species seen in Kodaikanal, in Oct 2008.
A cultivated, ornamental, potted plant.
Had posted on our group earlier.
Gurcharan Ji had suggested it could be Primula Species, possibly P. vulgare.
Farida Abraham Ji had suggested common name as Primrose.

Prof Munshi Ji,
Thanks for a possible id of my pictures.
Pictures in this post are of the same plant, not two different plants.
Primula alloni on searching, doesn't look anywhere near my pictures.
I am once again requesting you not to refer to me as a Dr, since I am not one.
Regards,
Aarti

Thanks Nidhan Ji.
Could this be Primula X polyantha?

Aarti

Well, I hesitate much.... can it be hybrid of Primula veris L.? A note can be found in FoNA introduction page - http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=1&taxon_id=126719.

Thank you

A reply from Craig Eveleigh ji, Creator of Primula World - A Visual Reference for the Genus Primula :
"Hybrid of garden origin (polyanthus). P. allionii is not involved."
Thanks a lot, Eveleigh ji.
