Interesting. It is a grass of dense shady and moist localities. I wonder how it would be found on Tibetan plateau.

Id is Ok. Its presence in the Kathmandu valley is understandable. But, in the reference you posted, there is mention of 'Tibetan Plateau' also, which is surprising. May be they are talking about moister Eastern part of Tibet (adjoining Yunan) What is the reference book?
