Tarenna alpestris (Wight) Balakr. is reported from flora Tamilnadu checklist. There is a chance.

Some earlier relevant feedback:

Tarenna asiatica(L.) Kuntze ex K. Schum. (= Chomelia asiatica (L.) Kuntze- from Santhan ji

This looks different from other images at Tarenna asiatica- from me

Tarenna alpestris (Wight) Balakr. is reported from flora Tamilnadu checklist. There is a chance.
Thanks & regards

Dr. Santhan P

I checked all listed species of Tarenna in the area, but could not find any match.

I think it may be some Psychotria species.

But could not find any match as per comparative images at
https://efloraofindia.com/2011/03/26/psychotria/- from me

On further examination, Navendu ji is right.
This appears to be a young fruiting specimen.
