Carmelita Ji,
These were similar berries I had seen in a parking lot in New Jersey on 19th June,17.
It was a small tree with berries.
Not sure whether cultivated.
Regards,
Aarti

New Jersey would be in USDA zone 7, I think

I cant tell whether it is the Blueray or Bluecrop variety .
you have to do your search if you like.

Regards
Ushadi

With serrated leaves, it could be either from the list given by Carmelita ji, of Amelanchier arborea, Amelanchier x grandiflora 'Cole's Secret' aka Apple Serviceberry, A. canadensis & Amelanchier lamarckii.

I don get to see Carmelita's response in this thread
where is it.

I was looking to ID my own pictures from this spring in NYC and ran into these kinds of berry pictures yesterday
(trying to overcome the nausea and sadness  from all those 911 pictures  and news coverage yesterday , I took to
looking at my flower pictures)

I now know this is downy Service berry tree
this is why habit and habitat picture is so important

Ushadi

Garg Ji,
I went through all the Species in the list and also the one suggested by Saroj Ji.
They all look quite similar to me.
I'm confused.
Regards,
Aarti
