Ruellia sp. from Kamarkundu - Hooghly

Photographed today outside the boundary wall of a residence. An ornamental herb, being on roadside covered with dust. Flowers are similar to R. tuberosa, but leaves are different. 

Could it be Ruellia simplex C.Wright of eFI (or R. brittoniana of Flora of Pakistan)?
