grass Leptochloa sp. ID from Hooghly 11-6-12 SK3

Recorded this grass again on the bank of a pond. Is it Leptochloa filiformis P. Beauv. (syn. Leptochloa panicea (Retz.)?

Species : UNKNOWN

Habit & Habitat : common grass, about 2 feet or more

Date : 9/6/12, 9.00 a.m.

Place : Nalikul (Hooghly)

Sir,

Attaching some more pictures of this grass that i recorded today (29/6/12). I do not know if it is a Leptochloa sp. or some other grass. A document file available at, http://kuedu.academia.edu/ProfSobhanKrMukherjee/Papers/978575/DIVERSITY_OF_GRASS_FLORA_OF_WEST_BENGAL_INDIA_WITH_SPECIAL_REFERENCE_TO_THEIR_UTILITY, but cannot be downloaded freely informs there are two Lepchloa species in West Bengal - 1. L. panicea and 2. L. chinensis., but the same document mentions that distribution of these species are "in drier parts". But i found this grass beside a pond.

However, i record the collected data below -

1. average length - 70 cm to 90 cm
2. leaf - 15.5 cm X 0.75 cm
