Pl. check Helianthus debilis subsp. cucumerifolius (Torr. & A.Gray) Heiser as per details herein and as per keys in Flora of China.
I think as per keys flower size is important.

It does look like your suggested id.
Flower size was smaller compared to Helianthus annuus.
