Photographed in San Francisco.
A hybrid or cultivar of Acanthus molle, suggested by Usha Di when posted earlier.

An amazingly tropical looking rich flame coloured Foxglove hybrid. Digitalis Illumination ‘Flame’ is a cross between our native Digitalis purpurea and an exotic species from the Canary Islands, Isoplexix canariensis. Very attractive spires of flowers are produced through summer and into autumn, attracting pollinators into your garden. This incredible perennial foxglove can survive winters in mild locations. This exotic Foxglove hybrid thrives in both full sun and partial shade, growing to a height of around 90cm tall.   ????

Thank you
