We must look for details/clues in the 3 images offered. The leaf shape is good for Sugar Maple aka A. saccharum; I have circled what appears to be the samara which looks the correct shape for A. saccharum. Some also call it a Rock Maple or Hard Maple when referring to the wood/lumber from this tree.
Can you remember the size of the leaves?
