yes, it looks different to me as well.
Arrangement of leaves does not match with Amorphophallus.
Some Asteraceae perhaps?

Yes it can't be Sesamum as leaves are compound.

This plant has surprised me a few times! It does sometimes produce these kinds of leaves in the early stages, before getting tall. I think it is Sesamum indicum.
