A reply:
"I don’t think this is ficus indica.  I am not expert on Opuntia, but those I’ve seen and owned never had any long spines.  The pads or joints are usually dark to medium green, longer than wide, quite large and virtually spineless and they are quite thick too.  I have one right now grown from seed, another is from a pad, both are quite thin as of yet.
