Realising that fact that genus Gagea which has large number of species in India (three new were described by G. Levichev in 2006: G. alii, G. utriculosa, G. bowes-lyoni and G. spumosa all from Western Himalayas; more 7 by Levichev and Ali: G. drummondii from Simla, G. pujabica from near Kangra, Punjab, India also DehraDun; G. wallichii from Punjab also DehraDun, G. pakistanica also DehraDun, others Pakistan only), All these are not included in the list on our website, as is also not G. dschungarica which was collected by me in early seventies but not able to match up with live pictures in field. I am as such sharing herbarium images of specimens deposited in Herbarium of SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi

Thank you very much Gurcharan Sir for this update, may be it is possible to collect fresh live specimens of the taxa collected long back by you, not an easy task, but your guidance can make it happen...

Thanks, Singh ji,
One doubt is arising here. I do not know, if I am wrong. Are the basal leaves in your specimen not longitudinally furrowed ?

Flora of Pakistan gives the following keys:
15 (14)Basal leaf smooth. Inflorescence branched, lower internodes longer than pedicels. Vegetative bulbils light brown, densely compressed, forming a spherical group situated laterally to parent bulb. Tepals up to 8 mm long, tip rounded. Capsule narrow, prismatic, apically convex 9 Gagea dschungarica
+Basal leaf longitudinally furrowed. Inflorescence shortly branched, lower internodes shorter than pedicles. Vegetative bulbils black-brown, surrounding about half the perimeter of parent bulb. Tepals up to 16 mm long. Capsule three-rayed, height equal to width, apically faintly widely-concave (16)

16 (15)Lower subinflorescence leaf is much broader than the basal leaf, the lower subinflorescence leaf is longer than the inflorescence 11 Gagea davlianidzeae
+Basal and lower subinflorescence leaves have the same width (17)

17 (16)Basal leaf and lower subinflorescence leaf broadly lanceolate (up to 13-15 mm wide). Tunic of bulb light brown. Bulbils colaterally surrounding parent bulb, mainly semi-dr op-shaped (sometimes fa ceted), black-brown. Tepals widely oblanceolate, blunt 10 Gagea lowariensis
+Basal leaf and lower subinflorescence leaf narrowly lanceolate (up to 3-5 mm wide). Tunic brown-black. Bulbils a little pulled together, forming a compact group surrounding the basal bulbil, usually polyhedral (group also can be named colaterally located). Tepals elongated, lanceolate, apic ulate 12 Gagea elegans

Catalogue of Life  and  WCSP do not give its distribution in India, though Flora of Pakistan gives it.
