Nilgiris: Rubiaceae for identification 061212MK03

Dear all,

Please help me to identify this Rubiaceae shrub. The size of plant was about 1 x 1 metres. The flower was about 3 cm long and the leaf was about 5 x 2.5 cm.

I think it needs to be published along with Prabhu Kumar ji, being stated to be Extinct as per 1997 IUCN Red List of Threatened Plants.

Also see only two high resolution specimens at GBIF.

Thank you Garg ji and Dr.Prabhu for resurfacing and identify this shrub. The plant matches the description. This species can be seen quite commonly in the high altitude shola-grassland landscape of Nilgiris. I am interested to know more information on this plant.
