I guess this is not  Rubus niveus Thunb.  since description says abaxially gray tomentose but it is not.

So could it be some other sp.??

Leaves appearing different

I find great variation in this species as per posts in efi site. 

Leaves certainly look different. 

Let us try if there are close species to it.
