Request for identification of this water-associated angiosperm

Date: 15th June 2020

Time: 1018 hrs

Location- Sutlej river bank, Near Luhnu Cricket stadium, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh

Habitat- Wild, riverine

Plant Habit- Herb, growing erect on clayey soil

Not Sagittaria trifolia at all as per images herein.

I think it is Alisma lanceolatum With. as per images and details herein.

Dear Garg sir,

I don't think this is Alisma lanceolatum because the the leaves are not lanceolate, but sagittate (although flowers look very similar). But, I also doubt that this is Sagittaria trifolia either because, even though the leaf is sagittate, it's not sharply arrow-like as is typical of S. trifolia (as the name Chinese Arrow-head suggests). So, I have a feeling that this could be an different species altogether.

Yes, it should be Alisma plantago-aquatica L. as per keys in Flora of Pakistan and FoC illustration.
