Nice photo and excellent work dear Dinesh ji.
Both Malayalam and English spellings are correct.  This kind of onion growing in my property.
KONKANI language correct Malayalam spelling is കൊങ്കണി.

Thanks very much dear Sam ji, for validating the Malayalam names, and for the appreciation.
  1. About your comment "KONKANI language correct Malayalam spelling is കൊങ്കണി" ... I found it as കൊംകണീ in the Wikipedia page of Konkani language. Do you think I should change കൊംകണീ to കൊങ്കണി OR do both spelling variants are alright ?
  2. About your comment "Kaattulli കാട്ടുള്ളി is wild onion" ... thank you very much ... I have already written the same in the Bibliography / etymology section.
Regards.

Many thanks Sam ji for suggesting the Malayalam spelling of Konkani as കൊങ്കണി instead of കൊംകണീ.
I am going to revise the spelling as suggested by you only in the future posts; it will be cumbersome revising all the earlier blog posts for that spelling change.

Regards.
Dinesh
