Yes.
To me appears close to Rhynchosia courtallensis as per
https://indiaflora-ces.iisc.ac.in/herbsheet.php?id=10079&cat=13

As per Google AI,
"Yes,
Rhynchosia courtallensis
has been reported from the .
While primarily known from the Eastern Ghats and hills like Courtallum (Tirunelveli), historical botanical records and taxonomic revisions note its presence in the Nilgiris:
  • Taxonomic History: The species was previously identified as Dunbaria latifolia.
  • Locality Records: Revisions of the genus Rhynchosia cite herbarium specimens from the Nilgiris (specifically from "Herb. Martii") alongside other South Indian locations like the Palni Hills and Dindygul.
  • Distribution Range: In Tamil Nadu, it is also frequently recorded in the Namakkal (Kolli Hills) and Salem districts.

Many many thanks Garg ji.

I too queried Google's AI.
Following is the conversation at https://share.google/aimode/a1slxdkZiQXQT3PSt
Somehow, it stated that Rhynchosia courtallensis is not recorded in the Nilgiris, or even at the specific spot that I made the observation.

Yet, Rhynchosia courtallensis seems a good match:

Let me label my observation as Rhynchosia courtallensis and wait for validation.

Regards.
Dinesh
