Why POWO does not give its distribution in India while mentioning it as a syn. of Beilschmiedia gemmiflora (Blume) Kosterm.?

Because Kostermans had considered the Malesia B. gemmiflora to be conspecific with the Indian B. bourdillonii. Here you may add B. dalzellii as well.

It is quite clear now that all databases are not showing distribution of any sps. 

As such we need to explore all possible databases to ascertain the distribution.

Sometimes, we have to look for journals / articles also.
