This is regarding the kannada name ಬಲ್ಬಲೆ balpale.    In my view   ಬಲ್ಪಾಲೆ balpaale ( as mentioned by  ... Subrahmanya, Prasad K - Exploration and elucidation of traditional medicinal plants of erstwhile Tulunadu and surrounding area of Kerala and Karnataka - Shodhganga  )   is more appropriate than  'ಬಲ್ಬಲೆ balpale'.  Paale or Paala  refers to  Writhtia tinctoria in Kannada.   'Paale or pala'  also written as 'pala or pale'  refers to the white milky exude.  Even ಬಿಳಿ ಹಲಸು bili halasu  may not be appropriate as this tree or fruit  is in no way related to  Halasu  (Jackfruit tree) .  Nevertheless, the choice is yours to retain, add or delete the names suggested by me.

I agree that  ಬಲ್ಪಾಲೆ balpaale is more appropriate than ಬಲ್ಬಲೆ balpale . Will make the change shortly.

About ಬಿಳಿ ಹಲಸು bili halasu literally meaning white jack ... this name is more in context of a trade of wood / timber.

Artocarpus hirsutus = hebbalasu ಹೆಬ್ಬಲಸು = hebba + halasu = wild jack tree

Here is one link: Forests of Karnataka - A Panaromic View ... where we find Lophopetalum wightianum being given a name as ಬಿಳಿ ಹೆಬ್ಬಲಸು bili hebbalasu.

It is something to do with similarity in nature of wood.
