Family Meliaceae
May be Chukrasia or Soymida
Many thanks to Shiwalee Samant for help with the ID.

Further, I suggest Chukrasia tabularis A.Juss. based on Google's AI response ... https://share.google/aimode/5s4MLXOnSlnPuxNfp

Some of the details in favour of Chukrasia tabularis:
Observation spot matches habitat.(moist deciduous), observation date matches fruiting timeline; and distribution of the species in the Nilgiris.

Regards.

Many thanks, Saroj ji.
Ruled out Soymida febrifuga, because it generally flowers in February/March and fruits much later, with maturation usually occurring between May and August.
I could be wrong. I depended on Google's AI response -  https://share.google/aimode/5s4MLXOnSlnPuxNfp
For now, I have labelled the observation as Chukrasia tabularis A.Juss.

Regards.
