When I search in google, for Clerodendrum species
I don't see anything matching this.
Also, this is a small tree compared to the shrubs in the above
mentioned species

Thanks,
Raman

For me the identification is doubtful.   The photographs do not match  well  with the photographs of F.fragrans  in the web.  Comments from experts needed.     Perhaps I may be wrong.

Yes I agree with Giby ji, calyx lobes are clearly below the ovary/young fruit. Not a member of Rubiaceae.

Dear Manne ji
When you are interested in information about Licorice you should be sure which plant you are talking about. Liquorice (unfortunately also called licorice sometimes) plant commonly used in India and Europe (note q in spellings) is a legume plant Glycyrrhiza glabra of legume family (Fabaceae) whose sweet roots are commonly used in confectionary, flavouring and medicine.; known in India under the names Mulhatti  (Hindi), Jashtimadhu (Beng), Jethi madhu (Guj), Atimaduram (Tam.), It is legume with pinnate compound leaves growing up to 1.5 m tall. More useful information here:

Licorice plant is more commonly Helichrysum petiolare, a herb from family Asteraceae with simple leaves, a native of Africa and naturalised in America. Leaves and flowers are medicinally important. You can find information here:

My presumption is correct . Earlier I suggested  Clerodendrum species.   Now it is  Volkameria  the new name.
