I saw this tree for the first time in Bangalore. I got a sapling from there and image is of that tree. It started blooming in 2006. I will send you required images this evening.

this Australian origin tree has made itself loved all over

I see this in southern California gardens and northern atlantic states living rooms and sun rooms

flowers during seasons long  hot  days

the red spikes of flowers are eye catching driving around

thanks we don't see them flowering in southern gangetic plains though
