Place: along SH 15 in Old Ooty (~ 7672 ft asl), Tamilnadu
Time: November 17, 2011 at 1.52pm
Habit: medium-sized not-so-dense tree
Habitat: (perhaps planted) along roadside

Plant: about 10 - 15 m high
Flower: about about 1.5 - 2 inches across

Hymenosporum flavum ... belongs to family Pittosporaceae.
The family as well as species - new to me.
Now realizing I had gone haywire with my guess !
