Bot. name: Stellaria media

Family: Caryophyllaceae

Date/Time: 8th Nov./ 10:00AM
Location: near a river bed at the outskirts of Aizawl, Mizoram
Habitat: Wild
Plant habit: Herb
Height: Approx. 15 to 20cm.
leaves opposite, smooth, short petiole
Flowers tiny, hardly 5 to 6mm, white, petals 5 nos ("V" shaped), sepals longer than petals.

Yes that is what I was also to say. Please focus the leaf base to see presence or absence of stipules. Looks Drymaria cordata.

I agree with both Dr. Singhs.... . I do not know the real diagnosis... Gurcharanji has said it above.

But its not chickweed as I know it...the leaves are too big compared to the flowers.... and the shape is different too..
