In Feb 2018 I have collected this specimen from Kamorta Island. Photos
attached for identification. Need Identification help.

This appears to be Helicteres angustifolia L. [Malvaceae].

I think you are right as per keys in Flora of China and POWO specimens- one, two and CoL (Helicteres angustifolia var. obtusifolia (Wall. ex Kurz) King syn: Helicteres obtusa Wall.)
