Garg ji,It is quite possible as this species has been reported from Tamil Nadu in Excursion flora of Tamil Nadu and flora of Eastern Ghats. Nevertheless, I am unable to decide or pin point the ID due to insufficient knowledge on various species of Diospyros.https://books.google.co.in/books?id=umMFT6tKtrkC&pg=PA282&lpg=PA282&dq=diospyros+sylvatica+in+Tamilnadu+flora&source=bl&ots=1CQRX0Mz8Y&sig=ACfU3U3V30PCk_8pGF7MEx1k-xZQ4Ir6lg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjM8ePJ7LDpAhU38HMBHRZiBJAQ6AEwBHoECAkQAQ#v=onepage&q=diospyros%20sylvatica%20in%20Tamilnadu%20flora&f=falsePlease check.,Regards,
