Padamiratti    in Tamil   is Clerodendrum species.  Your plant is not Clerodendrum species.  See link   : id=Hi49AAAAYAAJ&q=Padamiratti&dq=Padamiratti&hl=en&sa=X&redir_esc=y   https://books.google.co.in/books?id=Hi49AAAAYAAJ&q=Padamiratti&dq=Padamiratti&hl=en&sa=X&redir_esc=y.

As your plant contains latex  , it could be  a climber of Asclepiadaceae.
Do you have any flower photographs   or other siddha / Tamil name .

Wonderful plant
Used as an anticancer herbal medicine is known to induce apoptosis (programmed cell death ) in cancer cells and ALSO prevent the capillary formation around and//in tumors that feed the tumors

I think this plant has great potential as anti cancer herbal medicine without  the hassles of the chemo regimes, i hope can be co-used with conventional chemo, thereby requiring less chemo, and  that such an integrated protocol is developed soon.

Lets which country does this the fastest by providing proper funds, atmosphere and academic independence to researchers.

Hi, Gnanavel ji,

May I request you for your kind permission for the use of attached photo, as asked for below:

"Dear ladies and gentlemen from eFlora of India,

for my bachelor thesis in the department of pharmacognosy at the University of Innsbruck in Austria I would like to show an illustration of the plant Marsdenia tennacissima. Unfortunately, I have not yet found a suitable image without copyright. Therefore I wanted to ask for permission to use your plant photo for my bachelor thesis? My interest is the third picture in the upper row (M. tenacissima photographed by Gnanavel Rathinam) Of course with all necessary references. I would be very happy if this is possible.

With best regards

Jacqueline Portenlänger"
