Please identify the tree .   Photos taken on 23.10.11.  Near Abbi Falls, Coorg.   Young leaves brownish pink or red

Please let us know the altitude of the place (approximate), height of the plant, whether the young branches were pubescent or covered by any dry powder like substance etc.
