Brownea at Lalbagh, ID Confirmation

Location-Place, Altitude, GPS- Lal Bagh, Bengaluru. 12°56'56.8"N 77°35'08.1"E

Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- Urban

Plant Habit-Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb- Tree

Height/Length- 7 m

Leaflets – Seven pairs per leaf

Bracteoles – Present, Pink

Sepals – Four, Light Red, (Underside lighter than underside of petals)

Petals – Five, Red

Stamens – Eleven, 55 mm long, on semi-circular base.

My guess --- Brownea coccinea

Please post the closeup of the inflorescence   and foliage.

One needs telescopic camera to take photo of inflorescence which is high up. Telescopic camera needs a permission. May be in future trips to Lal Bagh I will try.

I do not think so.   Ordinary camera / CELL PHONE IS SUFFICIENT TO TAKE THE FOLIAGE / HABIT .  i had been to Lalbagh several times  and taken photos !
