Yeoor Hills after pre monsoon showers for wild flowers.

Dear All

After the pre monsoon showers the Forest Spider Lily blooms in the hills of Yeoor, SGNP Thane. These flowers bloom first before the leafs. I was planning for many years to see this unique phenomenon and it happened this year. Along with these Lilies the Yellow Ground Star aka Kali Musali flowers too had come up at the base of the shoots. Submitting the pictures for correct ID too.

ps re: makrndkaka... what a nice epithet...

only kaka I knew till now is/was Kaka Kalelkar.. a famous traveller, writer and educationist...  and someone who beleived in ethics... and preached and practised it in daily life.

Makarand Kaka, you must have inadvertently labelled the first two pictures for Pancratium ...

first 2 pictures 4134, 35 are not of Pancratum, they are of Chlorophytum species, tubers needed for confirmation
