Please help ID this plant. It was photographed in Chikmagalur. 

Wild plant, about 4 feet in height, no flowers or fruits. 

Location: Chikmagalur
Date photographed: 10/4/2021

As the plant is armed, it should be Flueggea leucopyrus, as per keys herein.
