Neil! I am a little confused about the Hindi name. I thought Ketaki denotes Kewda which grows naturally in hot and humid climate, preferably near the sea. I saw a large no. growing wild when travelling in coastal Orissa.
Maytenus is obviously not native. There was a classical song: 'Ketaki gulab champak van phule".

Hello all
i think this plant need to be checked again as it has male and female
flowers on different plants. the flowers are very fragrant during day
time. according to me it is
Securingea obovata from Family Euphorbiaceae.
common at CEC, and at Gorai
please recheck.
