Please help me in identifying this tall grass species.

Habit: 0.5-1 m tall grass
Habitat: clayey soil near a wetland

Alt.: 60 m asl
Place: Ariyalur dist., TN
Date: 05 Mar 2014

If one just would make the tiny effort of taking a sharp picture of the inflorescence and spikelets, things would be much easier.
