Acacia sp for ID from Khukhrana Panipat
Photo- Khukhrana Panipat Forest Area only single small tree (wild) was seen in area on 060610
Large thorns, pinnately compound leaves
inflorescence not seen

Acacia species are diificult to identify without flowers and fruits, but looking at leaves and prickles, appears to be Acacia nilotica ssp. indica.

Gurucharan ji, Tanay ji,

Acacia nilotica L. Ssp.indica [Syn – Acacia Arabica]

In Acacia nilotica L. - Dark brown or black longitudinally fissured
bark is seen. [ It is not seen in the photos ]

Flowers – Sessile, yellow, in globose heads.

Flowering season : June- January

English – Indian gum Arabic

Kannada – Kari Jaali Mara.

I have seen this tree it posses black longitudinally fissured bark.

As said by Gurucharn ji ,Acacia species are diificult to identify
without flowers and fruits.

I hope it is not Acacia nilotica L.??????

I think Brijesh ji is right as today also i tried to compare two young trees of A nilotica and this photo tree. I will try to find a large tree for more clarification

Vachellia nilotica (L.) P. J. H. Hurter & Mabb. subsp. indica (Benth.) Kyal. & Boatwr. may be a possibility.
