I wonder whether this genus is recorded from the area.

yes Gurcharan Singh ji there are two species Bupleurum wightii and Bupleurum plantaginifolium are reported from Bori and Pachamari area in Flora of Pachmari and Bori Reserves by BSI, I think this is Bupleurum wightii.

I think it will be Bupleurum andhricum M.P.Nayar & R.N.Banerjee going by the description and illustration at the following:

although I could not find any herbarium specimen (including GBIF) or images on the net.

Looks different from Bupleurum ramosissimum Wight & Arn. (including var. wightii) as per
