Wild Herb captured on 13/8/10 during the trek from Ghangaria (around 11,000 ft.) to Hemkunt Sahib (around 14000 ft.).

Myriactis nepalensis, the ligules some times turn purplish with age.

Thanks, Singh ji & Tanay ji.

I think it is not there in Concise Flowers of Himalayas by Oleg Polunin & Adam Stainton.

However, flowers look different (though may be same species as pointed out by Singh ji) in earlier thread on Myriactis nepalensis- may be due to different time of photographs:

The species is common in Himalayas and has white ray florets, but may be some times purplish

I think it should be Myriactis wightii as per thread: VOF Week: Asteraceae sp -1 for ID from VOF

In view of Singh ji's post of Myriactis nepalensis, I think it more likely to be Myriactis wallichii as per keys in BSI Flora of India and FoC.
Also matches with images in FOI
POWO mentions M.javanica as a syn. of M.wightii

True! The white one should be Myriactis wightii. I was referring to the one showing pinkish flowers.
