Hello there everyone! Sunday and Monday at Gillson, in the harbor, there were at least 30 redheads, some red-breasted mergansers, a couple pairs of bufflehead, a hooded merganser, and a common goldeneye, along with the usual mallards and Canada geese. Maybe one common merganser male. I couldn't tell for sure, because he was sleeping, and didn't ever turn around. Had his head tucked in and I could only see him from the back. Very red orange bill was visible but only a bit of it. Plus American tree sparrows and juncos in the trees along the beach. And about 20 ring billed gulls along the beach.  Yesterday,  most of the redheads were gone, but everyone else remained. We'll see what's there today!

Last week on Tuesday, I tried for the European goldfinches and did not see them. But Thursday I did! Very beautiful birds. And a ton of American Tree sparrows over there.

I was out there this morning. It was just fabulous, and I I had these same birds in the harbor, including the return of the redheads. The Canada geese were gone, however. I didn't see the juncos or tree sparrows, but I got four crows and two red-winged blackbirds.
